Job Title: Live-In Companion
Location: Washington, D.C. and Multiple Residences – Domestic
Employment Type: Full-Time, Live-In
Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 with full benefits


Position Summary:

A private individual is seeking a warm, attentive, and discreet Live-In Companion to provide personal companionship, light assistance, and general support while accompanying them between multiple residences, both domestic and international. This role is ideal for someone nurturing, flexible, and travel-ready who can provide social interaction, emotional support, and help with day-to-day lifestyle routines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide genuine companionship through conversation, shared activities, and daily interaction
  • Travel with the principal to secondary homes and destinations as needed, both domestic and international
  • Assist with daily routines, including reminders for appointments, medications, and light scheduling
  • Coordinate with household staff to ensure seamless travel transitions and residence readiness
  • Provide light household support (e.g., tidying, packing/unpacking, light laundry)
  • Accompany on walks, outings, or social engagements as requested
  • Assist with personal correspondence, note-taking, or light administrative tasks
  • Monitor well-being and communicate any concerns discreetly with family or medical professionals (if applicable)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times


Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a live-in companion, caregiver, or personal assistant preferred
  • Warm, engaging, and patient personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and on short notice
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong sense of discretion, privacy, and professional boundaries
  • Valid passport and driver’s license (with clean driving record)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)


Accommodations & Travel:

  • Private accommodations are provided at all residences, and while traveling
  • All travel expenses covered, including flights, meals, and lodging
  • Use of household vehicle (if applicable)


Schedule:

  • Full-time with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel days
  • Occasional downtime when principal is resting or visiting with others
