Live In Nanny

Location: Primary Residence in Washington D.C.  + Domestic & International Travel

Position Summary:

A private family is seeking a loving, experienced, and highly flexible Live-In Nanny to care for their child(ren) while traveling between multiple homes and destinations. This role requires a nanny who is passport-ready, organized, and excited to support the family’s dynamic lifestyle across various locations, including international travel. The ideal candidate is developmentally focused, emotionally intelligent, and thrives in a mobile environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-time care for the child(ren), including daily routines, educational activities, and personal care
  • Travel with the family to additional residences, vacation homes, and international destinations
  • Ensure a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment at home and while traveling
  • Coordinate child-related logistics: packing/unpacking, travel documents, airport transitions, and in-transit entertainment
  • Prepare healthy meals/snacks and manage child-related dietary needs
  • Oversee nap and bedtime routines, especially across time zones
  • Organize stimulating activities at new locations (e.g., local outings, cultural experiences, indoor play)
  • Handle child-related laundry, tidying, and organizing belongings
  • Communicate regularly with the parents regarding schedules, milestones, and observations
  • Accompany children to appointments, events, or playdates
  • Administer first aid or medications as required
  • Collaborate with other household or travel staff as needed


Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of nanny experience, preferably with high-net-worth or travel-ready families
  • Experience traveling with children (international and domestic)
  • Passport-ready and flexible to travel for extended periods, sometimes with short notice
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if driving is required)
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills a plus
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Discreet, emotionally mature, and highly dependable
  • Must be comfortable working in both formal and informal household environments
  • Strong understanding of child development, behavior, and safety


Accommodations:

  • Private bedroom and bathroom provided in all locations (home and during travel)
  • All meals and living expenses covered
  • Use of household vehicle for child-related duties (if applicable)


Schedule:

  • Full-time, typically 5–6 days per week
  • Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel dates required
