House Manager (Hands-On)

Job Title: House Manager (Hands-On)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends


Responsibilities:

  1. Household Oversight: Oversee all aspects of household management, including coordinating and supervising housekeeping staff, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
  2. Hands-On Housekeeping: Take a proactive role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the residence, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed.
  3. Inventory Control: Monitor household supplies and inventory, replenishing as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
  4. Schedule Coordination: Coordinate schedules for housekeeping staff, ensuring coverage for all necessary tasks and events.
  5. Event Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and executing household events, including coordinating catering, rentals, and other logistics as required.
  6. Budget Management: Assist in managing household budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  7. Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and service providers, obtaining quotes, scheduling services, and ensuring satisfactory completion of work.
  8. Pet Care: Provide care for household pets, including feeding, grooming, and arranging veterinary appointments as needed.
  9. Staff Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of performance and professionalism.


Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in household management, with hands-on experience in housekeeping roles.
  2. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of housekeeping staff.
  3. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  4. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the dynamic needs of the household, including availability for evenings and weekends.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, vendors, and household members.
  6. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and privacy of the residence.
  7. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if driving is required for errands or other household tasks).
