CAREGIVER / COMPANION


Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Provide support with transfers, positioning, and use of mobility aids as needed.
  2. Medication Management: Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instructions. Monitor medication side effects and communicate any concerns to healthcare professionals.
  3. Health Monitoring: Monitor our client’s health status, including vital signs, nutrition, hydration, and overall well-being. Keep accurate records of health-related information and report any changes or issues to the family and healthcare team.
  4. Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on our client’s dietary preferences and any specific dietary requirements. Ensure meals are well-balanced, appealing, and served at appropriate times.
  5. Companionship: Engage in meaningful activities, conversations, and leisure pursuits with our client to promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional support. Encourage independence and participation in daily activities to the fullest extent possible.
  6. Household Assistance: Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up our client’s living space, laundry, meal cleanup, and organization. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment conducive to our client’s well-being.
  7. Transportation: Accompany our client to medical appointments, therapy sessions, recreational activities, and community outings as needed. Provide safe and reliable transportation using the family's vehicle or public transportation.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the family members, healthcare professionals, therapists, and other caregivers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for our client. Maintain open and transparent communication regarding her care needs, progress, and goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or companion for individuals with disabilities, preferably in a private home setting or healthcare environment.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on our client’s life.
  • Knowledge of disability care principles, including assistive devices, mobility aids, and personal care techniques.
  • Ability to follow care plans, medication schedules, and safety protocols accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with our client’s family members, and healthcare professionals.
  • Reliable and responsible with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and relevant training as required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving
